Training and support package delivered to EC

The second WP7 deliverable was submitted to the Commission in early August (2011). The second substantive output from the OU team consists of a report on the training and support requirements of EGOV4U partners since the project began in September 2010, plus examples of the range of materials that have been produced to assist partners in designing and carrying out the evaluation of their e-service projects using the Impact Evaluation Framework (IEF) devised by the OU team. One important feature of the first year of the EGOV4U project that the report notes is that the ability to provide face-to-face support (by working with partners in their various localities) has proved invaluable to both the development and implementation of the IEF. Thus, although all EGOV4U projects are designed to use ICTs to tackle various forms of social exclusion, there are, as is to be expected, a variety of location and context specific factors that need to be identified and accommodated within the IEF if it is to be fully useable and effective.  This report will be available when it has been endorsed by the EC.
