Welcome

'eGovernment for You' (EGOV4U) is a three year project funded by the European Commission. EGOV4U aims to pilot a model for tackling social exclusion and disadvantage through provision of multi-channel government, public and community e-services. The key contribution of WP7 is to develop, apply, and refine an ‘Impact Evaluation Framework’ (IEF) capable of identifying in the broadest terms the direct and indirect social, economic and public 'value' realised by nearly 30 inclusive e-service initiatives delivered by our project partners in the cities of Dublin, Milton Keynes, Reykjavik, Rijeka, and the through the Local Councils Association of Malta. Our longer-term goal is to develop a generic framework, applicable beyond these pilot projects, that will enable all stakeholders, including citizens and their representatives, to make better decisions when commissioning, designing, implementing and managing flexible, personalised, multi-channel services targeted at the socially excluded and disadvantaged.

On this website you will find:

  • WP7 ‘deliverables’, or outputs, developed by the OU with and for our project partners and the EC. These include the IEF itself, along with baseline, interim and final impact evaluation reports of specific EGOV4U multi-channel e-service projects.
  • A range of academic and non-academic outputs based on our findings from, and experience of, the EGOV4U project.
  • A 'directory' of sources and related information on multi-channel e-services and impact evaluation.
  • A 'blog' to promote and support exchange of views and experience amongst all those involved.
  • The main EGGOV4U portal can be found at http://www.egov4u.eu.
